Lack of Brick and Mortar African American Stores

Although I live in one of the major metro areas along the Eastern Seaboard I still have noticed very few stores in the community that specialize in or primarily sell African American products, well outside of the beauty supply stores that are always available where ever you find people of color.

Now it is true that I have only been here for 10 months now and I'm sure these stores exist but it seems to me that unless you already KNOW where they are you're out of luck if you're looking to find something a little Afro-centric. I moved here from Mississippi and while I didn't expect much there I did hope to find more here.

Well with the "World Wide Web" at our fingertips these days there's no longer a need to go without ANYTHING that our heart desires (and our wallets can manage) so I decided to create this blog as a way to find stuff either FOR African Americans or made BY African Americans.
